Civil Servant Found Dead in Sewer

Pista Natalia Gultom (36), a civil servant of City Police Medical and Health Division, is found dead at the exit toll of Jatiwarna KM 37, Pondok Melati, Pondok Gede, Bekasi, Saturday (26/4). She was allegedly murdered because police found wounds on all over her body. The victim is identified as a resident of Jalan Usaha No. 46B, RT 07/12, Kramat Jati Urban Village, Kramat Jati Sub-District, East Jakarta.

Gultom’s body was found by two scavengers, Midi (41), a resident of Bantarjati, RT 04/02, Setu Urban Village, Cipayung Sub-District, East Jakarta, and Herlan Gunawan (43), a resident of Jalan Batuampar 3 No. 4, RT 11/02, Batuampar Urban Village, Kramat Jati Sub-District, East Jakarta. Based on their statements, they saw a woman looked like a doll in a sewer at 1 AM. They then immediately reported their finding to the police post near Jatiwarna Toll Gate.

City Police Public Relations Division Chief Sr. Comr. Rikwanto disclosed that when found, the victim was still wearing civil servant uniform complete with an identity card of Brigadier selection committee. “We found an open wound on her left calf as well as bruises on the back of her thigh, left foot, and right calf. Her right and left foot are also broken,” he stated.

According to Rikwanto, the police also found victim’s bag containing clothes, watch strap, ring, necklace, and cell phone. “The victim’s body has been brought to Kramat Jati Hospital for an autopsy,” he told.

Now, Jakarta police are still investigating this case, whether she was murdered or robbed. This is because the victim’s bag and jewelry are still exist at the scene.
